Businessman Scooter Braun put an end to his supposed feud with Taylor Swift after she bought back the master recordings of her first six albums.

Swift spoke about the achievement on the New Heights podcast, which her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, cohosts with his brother Jason.

In May, Swift announced that she now owns her entire music catalog. The pop star had felt devastated in 2019 when her former record label, Big Machine, sold her masters to Braun, who later sold them to Shamrock Capital for $300 million.

Braun was approached in Los Angeles and asked for his reaction to Swift revisiting the saga on New Heights. The ex-music manager simply replied with a classy, “I wish everybody the best.”

Swift’s Six Albums

Braun avoided reigniting his feud with Swift, who had felt betrayed six years ago when he acquired her masters, including her self-titled debut, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. At the time, Swift publicly condemned the deal she hadn’t been invited to join.

Swift fought back by announcing plans to rerecord her early albums. She went on to release new versions of four of the six. Months after ending her blockbuster Eras Tour in December 2024, Swift finalized a deal with Shamrock to buy back her masters, reportedly paying the same $300 million the firm had spent in 2020.

Swift posed with her six albums and posted them on Instagram with the caption “You belong with me”.

Swifties also theorized that her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn may have helped her buy back the records.

Braun v Swift

Earlier this year, Braun stepped forward to address the supposed “feud” with the pop icon and denied that Taylor Swift’s revenge anthem “Vigilante Sh*t” targets him and his ex-wife Yael Cohen.

Braun went further to illustrate his relationship dynamic with Cohen. The father of three revealed a permanent reminder of their bond – a tattoo on his finger that reads “same team.” He got it after their divorce and emphasized, “She and I are the same team for life.” The gesture underscored their commitment to co-parenting.
