Taylor Swift had a major win recently. The pop icon revealed that she had successfully bought back all of her master recordings and officially reclaimed ownership of her entire music catalog. Swift posed with her six albums and posted it on Instagram with the caption “You belong with me”.
However, hardcore Swifties could not help but notice a subtle nod to her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
It all started when a fan pointed out an Instagram post Alwyn shared on March 12, featuring a white, heart-shaped bowl with a four-leaf clover. Some Swifties took the clover as a subtle nod to Shamrock Capital, the firm Taylor bought her masters from. They even noticed that Taylor’s announcement photos looked like they were taken around the same time, hinting that Alwyn could’ve known about the deal before it went public.

Still, not everyone’s sold on the idea. Others think the clover was probably just a St. Patrick’s Day reference and are urging fans not to read too much into it.
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were in a relationship from 2016 until their reported split in early 2023.
Big win
To celebrate this huge milestone by the multi–Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, the Empire State Building lit up on Saturday, May 31. The iconic New York City landmark glowed in a range of colors, each representing a different era of Taylor Swift’s music.
Taylor Swift’s long-running battle over her music began in June 2019, when Scooter Braun, best known at the time as the manager of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, bought Big Machine Records from its founder, Scott Borchetta. Borchetta had launched Big Machine in 2005 and signed Swift as his first major artist.
Swift bought back her master recordings from Shamrock Capital, regaining ownership of her first six albums after a long-standing dispute.
