Sha’Carri Richardson was supposed to get herself ready for the World Championships. As the women’s defending 100m champion, Richardson will look to defend her crown. With slow starts and slumping form bothering her, Richardson faced a lot of flak from the fans. Unfortunately, to further add to her woes, Richardson is dealing with a legal case.
In a recent and surprising turn of events, the Olympic 100m silver medalist was seen in a heated altercation with Christian Coleman. Following some rough moments at the Seattle Airport, Richardson got arrested. She was accused of physical violence on her boyfriend, Coleman. Meanwhile, with things getting heated, newly released footage showed how the altercation unfolded.
Security Footages Paint A Grim Picture Of Sha’Carri Richardson -Christian Coleman Feud
US media released footage of the altercation at the Seattle airport. It portrayed a violent Richardson attacking Coleman repeatedly. Not only did the Olympian get aggressive, but she could be spotted repeatedly shoving Coleman. On the contrary, Richardson’s boyfriend did not want the feud to escalate as he tried to walk away from the situation.

Richardson and Coleman were involved in a verbal altercation as they exited through airport security, the police report states.

Further reports suggest that Richardson did not only use physical force. She also hurled objects at Coleman, attempting to injure him. As per briefing from the Transportation Security Administration, the object Richardson threw was a headphone.
Although the entire fiasco lasted only for a brief moment. It was enough to set the alarm bells going. Authorities swiftly intervened and arrested Richardson. She was charged with domestic assault and also spent a night in jail. Thankfully, Coleman decided not to press charges, following which, Richardson was released. While public outrage grew, Coleman tried his best to pacify the situation. He commented, “I wasn’t a victim.” But in reality, Coleman’s words did very little to curb the anger.
