Celebrity environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio and his supermodel girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, kicked off August by partying aboard Jeff Bezos’ extravagant $500 million superyacht. The yacht, which is currently cruising the Mediterranean, docked in Ibiza when the couple arrived.

Photos published by the outlet show Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez, welcoming DiCaprio and Ceretti as they stepped off a smaller boat and boarded the massive vessel. The two high-profile couples exchanged hugs and smiles as they prepared to enjoy their getaway.

This isn’t their first time vacationing together. Back in June, DiCaprio, 50, and Ceretti, 27, attended Bezos and Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy. The star-studded guest list also included the Kardashian family, Orlando Bloom, Tom Brady, and the woman with great jeans, Sydney Sweeney.

The yacht reportedly stretches 417 feet and ranks as the world’s largest sailing yacht as well as the biggest yacht ever built in the Netherlands.

Leo the “Environmentalist”

Of course, people were miffed at this. After all, the actor is an “environmentalist” and has ties to the WWF. He sits on the board of several organizations dedicated to these issues, including the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Global Green USA, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).

Watching him board the superyacht brought about instances of him using his private jet and increasing his carbon footprint. Notably, his 8000-mile trans-Atlantic round trip from Cannes to New York City to accept an award from the clean-water advocacy group Riverkeeper at their Fishermen’s Ball.

Environmentalists have been quick to note that the actor’s lifestyle choices are less-than-exemplary by environmental standards.

Environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, as the United Nations Messenger of Peace, spoke at the opening Climate Summit in 2014. “As an actor I pretend for a living. I play fictitious characters often solving fictitious problems,” he said. “I believe mankind is looking at climate change in that same way, as if it were a fiction. As if pretending climate change were not real, it would somehow make it go away. But we know better than that now.”

Well, looks like you are not pretending anymore, Leo.
