Burglars stole around $10,000 in cash from the Playa del Rey home of WWE superstars Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. The couple was 3,000 miles away in Providence, Rhode Island, appearing live at WWE’s Monday Night Raw show at the Amica Mutual Pavilion at the time of the break-in.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a burglary call at the residence shortly before 3 a.m., but by the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled. Police confirmed the incident on Tuesday.

Rollins, nicknamed “The Visionary,” defeated Penta in the Monday Night Raw main event and is scheduled to face LA Knight next. Lynch, who returned to WWE this year after a long hiatus, recently won the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 41 with partner Lyra Valkyria. However, she lost a singles match to Valkyria during Monday’s show in Rhode Island.

Series of Burglaries

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch aren’t the only victims. This incident marks the latest in a series of burglaries targeting the homes of athletes and entertainers while they’re away for public events. Although law enforcement hasn’t linked this burglary to any organized group, authorities have previously blamed several similar crimes on South American theft rings.

These groups have targeted high-profile athletes from teams like the Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, and LAFC. In February, federal prosecutors charged seven Chilean nationals with conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property.

Investigators believe the group executed over $2 million in burglaries from the homes of NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Joe Burrow, along with NBA player Bobby Portis, while those athletes were competing.

Thieves also targeted the Washington homes of Dodgers pitcher and two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell, Mariners stars Julio Rodríguez and Luis Castillo, and former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman. While the baseball players were on the road, Sherman was home with his family during the attempted burglary.

Authorities charged 21-year-old Earl Henderson Riley IV in connection with the Washington burglaries. Investigators said surveillance footage showed Riley’s crew using Wi-Fi jammers to disable security cameras.
