Selena Gomez may be a global superstar, but she’s keeping her upcoming wedding to Benny Blanco personal and full of surprises – especially when it comes to her choice of dessert.
“My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy,” the Rare Beauty founder shared via her business’s TikTok account. “My nana’s biscuits and gravy, that sounds like dessert to me.” She also shared that she wants her Nana’s homemade version served on the big day.
As for the cake? Selena has no plans for a traditional multi-tiered centerpiece. “Whenever that day comes, I do know I don’t want a big cake,” she said. “I think I’d want a mini one, just for us, that we can freeze.”
Selena and Benny announced their engagement in December 2024, a year after confirming their relationship publicly. “Forever starts now,” Selena captioned a post showing off her $1 million diamond ring.
Wedding Privacy After Leak
Selena and Benny originally intended to keep all wedding details secret until after their vows. But with the Montecito venue and guest list now leaked, and paparazzi already swarming, the couple has moved into crisis mode.
“Selena and Benny are fuming their wedding plans have been leaked,” a source told the Daily Mail. “If it wasn’t just two months away, they’d consider moving the celebration. But it’s too late to change everything, and they don’t want to delay.”
Instead, they’ve ramped up security to protect their privacy. The couple has reportedly hired an elite team to monitor the estate 24/7 leading up to the wedding. According to the source, “Security for Selena’s wedding will be of the utmost importance because not only is she a public figure, many of the guests will be too.”
The couple plans to enforce strict no-phone and no-photo rules, complete with NDA agreements and special locking phone pouches. Rumored guests include Taylor Swift, Martin Short, and Steve Martin.
Ed Sheeran is one of the guests for sure. Earlier this year, Sheeran inadvertently leaked that he had received and RSVP’d to their wedding invitation, indicating that the couple had started sending out invites.
Just pray he isn’t behind the latest leaks.

This is not the first time Selena has spoken about doing things unconventionally. Earlier this year, she made it clear that she’s skipping some long-standing traditions.
