Peppa Pig’s family has grown with the arrival of a new baby sister named Evie. The official Peppa Pig Instagram account announced the birth on May 20, 2025, featuring a town crier proclaiming the news.
“Lend me your ears, for news of the birth of a daughter to Mummy and Daddy Pig,” the town crier declared. “Peppa and George have a baby sister, and her name is Evie.”
“Long live Evie Pig!” he added.
Evie was born at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the same hospital where Kate Middleton gave birth to her three children, adding a royal touch to the announcement.
The name ‘Evie’ holds sentimental value, as it was inspired by Mummy Pig’s Great Aunt. According to Mummy Pig, the name felt perfect when their little one’s eyes lit up upon hearing it.
Evie makes her on-screen debut in the upcoming cinema feature Peppa Meets the Baby. The release date is set at May 30, 2025. This special event plays in over 2,600 theaters across 14 countries. It also features ten new episodes, six original songs, and music videos. The storyline will explore how Peppa and her brother George adjust to having a new sibling, reflecting the wide range of emotions experienced during such a transition.
The addition of Evie marks the first new character introduced to the Peppa Pig series in two decades, signaling a new chapter in the beloved children’s show.
