Isn’t Olivia Rodrigo awesome? Daisy Spencer, the guitarist for Rodrigo, recently opened up about the experience and praised the singer-songwriter for being an incredible boss on the road. Daisy revealed that Rodrigo provided free therapy for all band and crew members throughout the tour, even during breaks between legs when everyone was technically “off.”
“Olivia and Marty made therapy free and accessible to everyone on the tour,” Daisy shared on The StageLeft Podcast. “I’ve never experienced anything like it. That reminded me how important therapy is. I’d fallen off for a while, and suddenly I had this incredible resource – and I made full use of it.”
Daisy said she attended sessions as often as she could – weekly or every other week – and even continued during off periods.
“Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour,” she said. “Accessible, free therapy is one of the best things you can give people, because it can get really expensive.”
She added, “It’s not something you hear about often. It was seriously the coolest thing.”
Later in the podcast, Daisy praised Olivia more broadly: “She literally is the dreamiest boss of all time. She’s handled the massive rise in her career in the most amazing way – better than most people ever could. She’s done it gracefully and effortlessly.”
Guts World Tour
Olivia Rodrigo just wrapped up her Guts world tour -performing an impressive 102 shows across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America from February 2024 through early July.
Given the demands of a world tour – late nights, long days, constant travel, jet lag, and the emotional highs and lows of live performance – this gesture clearly made a huge impact.
Advocacy for Women’s Rights
Rodrigo recently condemned Georgia’s abortion law following the tragic case of Adriana Smith, a 31-year-old Atlanta nurse who was kept on life support for months after being declared brain-dead in February 2025, solely because she was nine weeks pregnant.
Known for her outspoken support of women’s rights, Rodrigo took to Instagram to express her outrage. “So disgusting and so disturbing. Adriana Smith deserved better,” she wrote in her Instagram story.
