Naomi Campbell has come to Miley Cyrus’s defense after the pair were accused of being “rude” and “dismissive” toward fans at a recent signing event in London. The duo was celebrating the vinyl release of Miley’s latest single, Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved, part of her Something Beautiful film soundtrack.
Fans accused Cyrus and Campbell of being rude, saying the pair spent more time chatting with each other than engaging with them, and expressed disappointment at feeling “ignored.”
Some fans described the event as a “meet and greet with each other,” citing instances where both Miley and Naomi appeared distracted, leading to rushed, poorly timed photos and what many described as a disappointing experience.
Naomi Sees it Differently
The 55-year-old supermodel, Naomi Campbell, painted a different picture.
In an Instagram post alongside photos from the evening, Campbell praised Miley’s presence and connection with fans:“@mileycyrus what a fun signing. Thank you for having me by your side to celebrate the Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved vinyl release in London. What a joy to spend the night with you in my hometown – your energy is infectious, your memory and graciousness with our fans is unreal. You had me laughing all night.”
She also addressed the crowd directly, writing: “To everyone who came out to the signing: thank you. We felt your love and adored meeting you. If you couldn’t make it, the vinyl is available now – SHOW US YOUR POSES THIS SUMMER!”
Meanwhile, Miley shared her own carousel of photos and a video from the event, posing with fans and Naomi, and expressing her gratitude in the caption. She too described the night as joyful and said she “adored meeting” everyone who attended.
Still, social media reactions were mixed. Fan-shot videos showed Miley enthusiastically chatting with Naomi while signing vinyls, but many noticed the duo rarely looked at the camera when posing, resulting in what some fans called “low-effort” meet-and-greet moments.
Despite the backlash, Naomi and Miley both appear unfazed – sharing their appreciation for the night and brushing off the criticism with glowing posts and no sign of regret.
