It was 1989 when the world first got to witness ‘LiLo’ on the big screen. And her age? Just 3 years! Beginning her career as child actor and model with Ford Models she appeared in over 60 TV commercials. At just 12 young Lind shared, “My mom was in the business. She was a Rockette, and my dad was also in the business. So that’s basically how I got into acting.” But it was 1998 when Lindsay Lohan caught the eyes of movie buffs with her breakout role Disney’s “The Parent Trap”.

Since then her name has endlessly appeared in the cast list of movies that have topped the charts. And “Mean Girls” will forever remain on the top of that list. However, Lohan has recently opened up about her bond with the co-stars from “Mean Girls”. She did not hesitate to share how it was indeed “hard” for her back then to be a part of the “Mean Girls”.

Lindsay Lohan Opens Up On Why Things Turned Out To Be Tough for Her

In a recent conversation with the New York Times, Lindsay Lohan shared tid-bits about her experience of working in hits like “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls” when she was just a teenager.  While in conversation with Julia Butters and Sophia Hammons, the leading faces from “Freakier Friday” Lohan commented on how the duo are lucky as they are “close in age”.

Referring to the same she continued to explain how it turned out to be a tough journey for her back in 2004 to be a part of “Mean Girls”. LiLo was just 17 back then. And she was starred as Cady Heron alongside ‘meanest’ girl Regina George played by Rachel McAdams. McAdams and Lohan had to share a long screen time together. Lohan stated, “It was hard because Rachel McAdams was so much older.”

Lohan continued, “I was in school. Amanda and Lacey were all hanging out. It was hard for me to find where I fit in.” Back then the other leading stars of the “Mean Girls”, Amanda Seyfried aka Karen was 17 and Lacey Chabert aka Gretchen was 21. However, while Lohan had her tough time fitting in with the ‘Plastics’, the ‘Freakier Friends’ are enjoying their time together.

Calling Butters her “best friend in the entire world” Hammons shared, “We see each other every single day. That’s not even an exaggeration.” However they too met at the sets of the movie for the first time. But unlike Lindsay Lohan the two young actors are indeed having a great time together.
