Donna Kelce shares her emotional reaction to Taylor Swift’s appearance on Travis’s podcast. The mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and NFL alum Jason Kelce has embraced the busy life of a football mom. At the red carpet premiere of ESPN’s The Kingdom docuseries, Donna said that she watched her sons’ New Heights podcast episode featuring Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
“I did watch the podcast … and I think it was just really, really eventful,” the 72-year-old Donna said of the Aug. 13 episode to People magazine.
Swift revealed the album art for her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl, kissed her boyfriend, shared her “obsession” with baking sourdough bread, and teared up while reflecting on regaining the rights to her music.
“It was authentic. It was just something I think everybody was thrilled to see, and it was a very loving podcast,” Donna added.

New Height, New Records
Swift’s appearance with Travis and Jason has drawn more than 20 million views, surpassing Kylie Kelce’s episode as the most-watched New Heights episode to date.
At the same premiere, Ed Kelce also praised the podcast. “Oh, it was good. It was awesome. … They’re two people obviously very much in love.”
Kristen Lappas, director of The Kingdom, told reporters on Aug. 23 that Swift strongly supported the six-part series, which highlights the Chiefs’ legacy and 2024 season. Lappas confirmed that Swift appears in the project, approved all her likeness, and chose not to give an interview.
Chiefs executive Lara Krug explained, “You see [Swift] in the way that I think is how she wanted to be seen, which is as a fan of the community.”
Taylor Swift may headline the NFL LX halftime show. At least a fan theory makes that claim. As Swifties believe that Swift may have even dropped hints during her New Heights podcast appearance.
