Taylor Swift’s hospital visit inspired an outpouring of love and donations. Just days after she visited Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, a wave of generosity swept across the internet, with donations pouring in to GoFundMe pages for three young patients bravely fighting for their lives.
Swift spent time with children like 7‑year‑old Majesty Williams, 2‑year‑old Aaliyah, and Zoe on June 13.
Swift’s heartfelt interactions with children at the hospital, photos, and videos of the visit quickly went viral on social media. Inspired by her kindness, Swifties began launching fundraisers and tracking down existing GoFundMe pages to donate to and share widely.
Recently, Swifties were thrilled to see their world intersect with the British Royal Family. The Royal Family’s official Instagram account shared a highlight reel of his day which was set to Taylor Swift’s song London Boy.
Fans Rally Behind
After videos and news of the visit broke, Swifties flooded GoFundMe campaigns in $13 increments, which is Taylor’s lucky number.
As of June 19, they have raised over $14,000 for Majesty’s care, more than $58,000 for Aaliyah, including reclaiming a $500-sold signed Eras‑Tour book, and around $22,000 for Zoe’s long-term treatment.
Seven-year-old Majesty was born with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and later diagnosed with Noonan syndrome, a genetic disorder that can lead to serious heart complications. At just 2 years old, she underwent a life-saving heart transplant.
Zoe, now 10, has been courageously fighting neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer, for nearly seven years. Her GoFundMe describes her as “a brave and resilient girl” who continues to face each challenge with strength and spirit.
Two-year-old Aaliyah is in the midst of a battle with brain cancer. She has already undergone surgery to remove a tumor and is now beginning six months of chemotherapy. Swift took a photo with Aaliyah’s mother beside the toddler’s hospital bed, adding a moment of warmth to an otherwise difficult journey.
After Swift’s visit, Dr. Jill Whitehouse, chief of surgery at the children’s hospital, praised Swift for being “undeniably one of the kindest human beings I have ever had the privilege of meeting.”
