Jackie Chan revealed that his stunt team is in charge of action guidance for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, raising excitement for Spidey’s big-screen return.
“I went to London for a meeting and visited the set,” Chan told Chinese outlet HK01. “My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the team. I watched their rehearsals, and the director was so excited when he saw me.”
Chan’s stunt team, known for its work on classics like Police Story, Thunderbolt, Mr. Nice Guy, Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon, and Around the World in 80 Days, brings a track record of high-energy action. Their involvement guarantees that the film’s fight sequences will deliver a street-level style unlike anything previously seen in the MCU.
Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man 4 follows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker as he shifts from saving the multiverse to embracing his role as the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. With his identity restored but his friends Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya) no longer remembering him, Peter faces a fresh set of challenges. The film also features Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
