The doubt in Mahomes’ heart continued to swell until one particular moment finally revealed the truth. Back in September 2023, just when Kelce and Swift started appearing on the headlines together, Mahomes spotted Taylor on the seats. She was attending her first game to show her support to her lover. It was Swift’s presence at the Arrowhead Stadium that made Patrick Mahomes believe his teammate’s claims of dating Taylor Swift.

Sitting for the ESPN docuseries ‘The Kingdom’, Mahomes shared, “He told me during the week. It was one of those where I gotta see it until I believe it.” Mahomes asked for evidence to trust Kelce’ romantic revelation. And what soon followed was Taylor Swift cheering for Kansas City Chiefs sitting right beside the tight-end’s mother, Donna Kelce.
Referring to the reaction of the crowd in the stadium Patrick Mahomes revealed “You definitely felt the buzz and you could see people in the stadium gravitating towards where she was up there”. He also hinted at how Swift’s presence as a Kansas City Chiefs supporter was capturing their attention. However, he added how they had to prioritise their game over anything else. “At the same time, we had business to handle,” said Mahomes going down the memory lane.
