It’s trouble in paradise for Katy Perry. In one of the bizarre cases, the pop star is rumored to have rented his $15 million property to Hollywood actor Chris Pratt. Now, in any other circumstances, this would have been a normal scenario. Unfortunately, for Perry she will now have to face legal consequences!
Katy Perry Gets In Trouble After Renting Property
According to reports that surfaced online, Katy Perry’s Santa Barbara property is at the helm of chaos. Back in June, Chris Pratt, along with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and four children rented the property. However, this is the same property that has been the centerpiece of a legal battle since 2020.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom reached out a veteran in poor health claiming they wanted his home to raise a child in, but documents retrieved later indicate their true plans were to rent out the property.

Things date back to the time when Katy Perry and her now ex-husband Orlando Bloom purchased the property. As per official reports, the original owner of the property was an entrepreneur named Carl Westcott. Well, till here, the story looks quite normal. This was until Westcott came up with a shocking revelation.
The entrepreneur stated that he wanted to back out of the contract at the very last minute. However, Westcott alleged that Perry’s team had thwarted his efforts to cancel the deal. Westcott, who is 85-year-old, argued that he was under medication at the time when he went through with the deal. He also claimed that he had just undergone a surgery and could not fully fathom the consequences of the deal.
However, with lack of evidence, the deeds were transferred to Perry. But with the upcoming trials in August, Perry’s team now claims a total of $5.7 million for lost rental value and repairs. Surely, the case is taking quite a complicated turn to say the very least. And it now remains to be seen what happens next.
