Mathew Perry had been one of the biggest stars of the American sitcom era. Starring as ‘Chandler’ in the popular show, ‘Friends,’ Perry soon became one of the most beloved characters. The witty dialogues and perfectly-timed humour made the fans go gaga over Perry’s portrayal of the character.

Unfortunately, all’s well does not necessarily end well. Struggling with addiction throughout his life, Perry’s real life story was quite grim. And in a heart-wrenching confession from Jennifer Aniston, the cast of ‘Friends’ already mourned Perry long before he was deceased.

Why Did Jennifer Aniston And Co. Mourn Mathew Perry?

Mathew Perry left his Earthly abode back on October 28, 2023. He was only 54 years old at the time of his demise. As per the medical report, the popular actor was said to have passed away due to ketamine overdose. Now, while this was a sad update, things were never better with Perry. And in a recent Vanity Fair interview, Aniston revealed something grim.

We did everything we could when we could.. But it almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight,” said Aniston.

Aniston further pointed out how it was pretty hard for all of her co-stars to find Perry in such a dire strait. However, now that the actor is no more, Aniston feels a bit relieved. She stated that a part of her feels happy about the fact that Perry is no longer suffering the pain which he was going through when he was alive. Thus, with a sombre update coming in, fans and critics alike are surely surprised how the reel and real life aspects can differ radically.
