Dr. James Dobson was a man of many talents. While he was a child psychologist, Dobson also took up the role of a counselor. He was well-known for giving advice to Christian parents on how to raise their wards properly on a radio show. But that was not all.
He also founded the conservative ministry, Focus on the Family, and was also an active campaigner against gay and abortion rights. Unfortunately, in a sad turn of events, Dr. Dobson has reportedly breathed his last. Surely, this news came as a shock for the community. And the near and dear ones are in a state of mourning at the moment.
James Dobson’s Passing Causes A Stir In Medical And Political Communities
After speculations surfaced about Dobson’s passing, the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute confirmed the same. According to reports, the renowned doctor was 89 at the time of his demise. Throughout his life, the doctor has been trying to contribute towards society outside of his medical practice.

However, oftentimes, it turned out to be utterly controversial. Back in 1977, Dobson founded Focus on the Family. With 1000 active employees, Dobson used it as a platform to give his takes on legislation. However, he also put forth his opinions against the laws to ban conversion therapy for ‘curing’ gay people. And quite expectedly, all these practices made Dobson a figure of controversy.

Next up, in 2010, Dobson left Focus on the Family and joined the Family Talk radio show. And once again, the show became overly popular with over half a million listeners per week. He also served as part of the Evangelical Executive Advisory Board for Donald Trump’s administration.
