Halle Bailey has obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper DDG, following allegations of physical and verbal abuse. The order mandates that Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. (aka DDG) stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo.
The order also prohibits him from contacting or publicly discussing them. The court also permitted Bailey to take Halo with her to Italy for an upcoming film project.
Bailey, 25, and DDG, 27, were in a relationship from 2022 until last year, and since their breakup, there have been “multiple acts of physical violence.”
“Throughout our relationship, Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse,” said Bailey.
Multiple Abuses
According to court documents filed on May 13, 2025, Bailey alleges multiple incidents of abuse since their breakup in October 2024. One such incident occurred in January during a custody exchange, where DDG allegedly assaulted her, resulting in a chipped tooth and bruises. Bailey provided photographic evidence to support her claims.
In another reported incident in March, DDG allegedly entered Bailey’s home without permission, damaged her property, and sent her a photo of her empty bed accompanied by accusatory messages.
Bailey also claims that DDG has used his streaming platforms on Twitch and YouTube to harass her and incite his followers, leading to online threats.
DDG has publicly denied the allegations during a recent livestream, expressing disbelief over the claims.
A court hearing regarding the restraining order is scheduled for June 6, 2025
