Rockstar Games surprised fans by dropping the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). The release came without warning on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel. Fans were instantly excited. The new footage offers a clearer look at the game’s world, main characters, and storyline.
This time, players are heading to a brand-new location. The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida. Rockstar describes it as home to the neon-lit streets of Vice City — and much more. The studio promises that this will be the “biggest, most immersive evolution” of the GTA series so far.
GTA 6 Surprise Trailer Drops, Reveals Characters and Release Details
The trailer introduces the game’s lead characters: Jason and Lucia. The two seem deeply connected. According to the official plot, “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Along with the leads, the trailer also shows off a list of new names. These include Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, and Real Dimez. Rockstar has not shared how these characters will fit into the story yet.
Release Date and Price Info
The official release date is now confirmed. GTA 6 will hit shelves on May 26, 2026. In India, the standard version is expected to cost around Rs 5,999. Special editions may go up to Rs 7,299. International pricing will likely be around $100, or roughly Rs 9,000.

Gamers looking to play GTA 6 on PC will need a solid setup. The expected system requirements include:
