In her testimony during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial in New York, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, the ex-girlfriend of Combs, revealed that there was only one aspect she appreciated about the so-called “freak off” parties: The opportunity to spend time with the music mogul, despite how emotionally distant he had become.
When prosecutor Emily Johnson asked what she enjoyed – if anything – about the “freak offs,” Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura broke down in tears. “The time spent with him,” she said. She also added that she felt like it was the only time she could get with him.
“I felt disgusting, I was humiliated. I didn’t have the words to put together at the time how horrible I really felt, and I couldn’t talk to anybody about it,” Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura added.
She described these events as degrading and humiliating, involving orchestrated sexual acts with sex workers, directed by Combs, and often fueled by drugs to keep participants compliant.
Degrading Acts
Combs once arranged a swimming pool filled with lubricant and made Ventura wade in it until she “glistened,” the court heard.
Ventura also described a pattern of violent abuse. She alleged that Combs ordered men to urinate on her. He also demanded she engage in sex while on her period, leaving hotel sheets stained with blood.
Ventura said her former boyfriend forced her to stay awake for days without sleep to participate in the “freak offs”. When asked how she managed to endure such long stretches without rest, she replied, “The drugs honestly helped,” explaining that Combs supplied her with ecstasy or cocaine.
She testified that Combs had complete control over when the “freak offs” would end. He would occasionally tell her a particular “session” would be the final one, and she admitted to hoping each time that it truly would be.
She attempted to express her dissatisfaction gently, fearing his reaction and potential repercussions. Ventura serves as the star witness in Combs’ trial, where prosecutors have charged him with transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering.
Combs has denied all allegations, pleading not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He could face life in jail for just the racketing charge, a minimum of 15 years for sex trafficking, and a minimum of 10 years for transportation to engage in prostitution.
