Jenna Ortega, the 22-year-old is already a popular face in the Hollywood industry. The world now knows her not as Ortega, but as Wednesday Addams. However, she did not start her journey in the industry with the renowned Netflix series. But has rather stepped into her career at a very young age.
While she started her journey as an actor while she was just a teenager, it wasn’t just a cake walk for her. Starting as a young actor in Hollywood also turned out to be tumultuous for young Jenna. And recently she opened up about how she faced the unseen challenges.
Jenna Ortega Opens Up On The Struggles She Faced As a Young Girl In Hollywood
Opening up to Vogue Mexico, Jenna Ortega shared how she was subjected to face several challenges as she started her journey as a young actor. The face who is currently ruling Netflix shared how she was not always very vocal on set. She stated, “I’ve always known what it feels like not to have a voice, and that terrifies me. I don’t ever want to be in that situation again.”

Sharing the terrifying part of starting as a young girl she added, “Being young and assertive is intense for a lot of people, especially as a woman.” Ortega, while sharing about her struggles, chose to remain silent about the names of the projects that made it tough for her to work.
Jenna Ortega further revealed how her own character was opposite to what she now portrays as Wednesday Addams. She shared, “I used to be a very extroverted child.” However, she learnt to be more professional with passing days. And did it the hard way. “…but I’ve become more reserved. It doesn’t mean something negative, It just means I choose my words carefully,” shared Ortega.

While speaking on how her most popular portrayal of Wednesday Addams would “hate” all the attention and obsession Ortega has nurtured with her work, she further shared her approach toward work now. Ortega added, “Now I just want to make sure I use my voice in the most professional, efficient and kind way possible.”
