Trouble in paradise for Sean Kingston. The ‘Beautiful Singer’ star has been found guilty of wire fraud. And the amount of fraud? Well, a whopping $1 million! Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Paul Anderson, is a well known music artist in the USA. He is particularly known for his lavish lifestyle and celebrity status.
Unfortunately, all of that has suddenly come crashing down. In fact, during the hearing, the attorneys also went to the extent of calling him a ‘fraud’ and a ‘conman.’ Here are the details of what really went wrong with Kingston.
Sean Kingston Faces Over Three Years Jailtime
In a recent development, Kingston was asked to serve 3 and a half years of jail time. But that is not all. After his release, the singer will be in strict supervision for the next three years. As per the accusations, Kingston used fake documents for buying expensive vehicles, jewelry, and other goods.
To top it all, the rapper made payments via banks that never cleared. And this process continued until the rapper’s debt mounted to $1 million. While the judgement was being passed, Kingston apologized and stated that he will not be repeating his actions any further.
“He clearly doesn’t like to pay and relies on his celebrity status to defraud his victims,” Assistant Attorney Marc Anton said. “He is a thief and a conman, plain and simple.”
Sean Kingston was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison over his $1 million wire fraud trial in South Florida.

However, the defence attorney stated that his client was immature and naive. When it came to money, Kingston had the mind of a teenager and he lacked proper guidance as to where and how he should invest his money. Thus, with things looking grim, it now remains to be seen how Kingston deals with the legal fiasco.
