Rumors online suggest that SiriusXM may have terminated Howard Stern’s contract. For over two decades, The Howard Stern Show has dominated satellite radio, entertaining millions with its raw humor and bold conversations.
Now, speculation suggests that Stern’s long-running program on SiriusXM could be nearing its end and these new reports have left listeners increasingly worried about the show’s future.

According to insiders who spoke to The U.S. Sun, Howard Stern’s contract with SiriusXM will expire this fall, and he may choose not to renew it. Sources revealed that although SiriusXM intends to extend an offer, they don’t expect Stern to accept it due to financial disagreements. “Sirius and Stern won’t meet on the money he wants,” one insider said. “It’s no longer worth the investment.”
Finances might not be the only issue. Insiders also claimed that Stern’s outspoken political views – particularly his ongoing criticism of Donald Trump – could influence SiriusXM’s decision. “If Sirius doesn’t offer Stern a strong deal, it probably won’t have anything to do with his ratings,” said a source. “It’s more likely about the political climate.”
Critics began pushing this theory after Stern’s 2024 interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris sparked backlash from conservative groups. His blunt criticism of Trump recently resurfaced in viral clips, adding fuel to the fire.
