A makeup artist who prepared Natasha Richardson’s final resting makeup says she received a heartfelt thank-you note from Richardson’s husband, actor Liam Neeson.
Celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter shared a photo of the note on Instagram. In the caption, she explained that she had done Richardson’s makeup several times while the actress was alive. After learning that Richardson had died at age 45 following a skiing accident, Linter said she was asked to do her makeup one last time as she lay in state.
Two months later, Linter said Neeson invited her to his home, where he personally handed her the note.
Dated May 4, 2009, the note read: “Dear Sandy, My family and I are so appreciative of what you did for our Natasha. We were deeply touched by your gesture and realize how difficult it must have been for you. It meant so much to all of us.”
In the same post, Linter included a photo from an article about Neeson’s new romance with his Naked Gun co-star, Pamela Anderson.
“He’s such a good guy,” Linter wrote in the caption. “Like everyone else I’m so happy for him. Can’t wait to see the movie.”

Richardson died in March 2009 after suffering a head injury while skiing at Mont Tremblant in Quebec. Initially, the injury seemed minor, and she reportedly declined hospital care at least twice. Her condition later worsened, and she was airlifted to a Montreal hospital. Neeson flew in from his Toronto movie set to be by her side.
Richardson and Neeson met in 1993 while starring in a Broadway revival of Anna Christie and married the following year on July 3, 1994. They had two sons, Micheál, now 30, and Daniel, 28.
Neeson’s current relationship with Anderson reportedly began while filming Naked Gun.
