Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex-trafficking trial has pulled several celebrities into the spotlight. Though none of them face accusations, their names have surfaced as part of the wider narrative. The trial began on May 5 in Manhattan, New York, and it has already been filled with dramatic testimony and recognizable names.
Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former girlfriend, has been a key witness. Her accounts span their relationship from 2007 to 2018. She’s described repeated physical abuse, forced sexual encounters, and years of emotional control. The testimony has also drawn in a number of other famous figures.
Kanye West, Michael B. Jordan, and a List of Stars
Kanye West’s name came up during jury selection. He hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing but has voiced support for Combs. In March 2024, he released a song featuring his daughter North and Combs. He also posted an old phone conversation with Combs online, where they discussed family and enemies.

Michael B. Jordan was brought up twice. His name came first during jury selection. It returned during Cassie’s testimony when she was asked about someone Combs suspected she had been involved with. She confirmed that Jordan was that person. Cassie and Jordan reportedly dated during a break from her relationship with Combs in 2016.
Actor Mike Myers and singer Michelle Williams were also named during jury selection. Neither have played a direct role in the case and face no allegations.
Cassie’s Testimony Paints a Dark Picture
Cassie has provided some of the most disturbing details in the trial so far. She described how, starting at 22, Combs forced her to participate in what were called “Freak-Offs.” These events were filled with drugs and sexual activity and lasted days at a time. One of them reportedly went on for four days.
She spoke of being hit in the face, knocked down, and stomped on. She described how Combs would warn her to change her attitude before assaulting her. The courtroom also saw video footage showing Combs physically attacking her at a California hotel in 2016.
Kim Porter and Hidden Relationships
Cassie revealed her sexual relationship with Combs began years before they went public. At the time, he was still with Kim Porter, the mother of three of his children. She explained that Combs kept their affair secret because of his family and public image.
Porter and Combs ended their relationship in 2007, the same year his public relationship with Cassie began. Porter passed away in 2018 from pneumonia.
Drake, French Montana, and Physical Injuries
Cassie also mentioned rapper Drake. She claimed Combs abused her before she attended Drake’s OVO Festival in 2013. Despite the alleged attack, she still went to the event and was seen with French Montana. She told the court she had to style her hair a certain way to hide injuries from the abuse.
Prince, Kid Cudi, and Emotional Trauma
Cassie also testified about attending a private concert by Prince. The show took place in the basement of his Los Angeles home. She didn’t tell Combs she was going. She said she knew he wouldn’t approve. Moreover, she saw him there unexpectedly and fled in fear. Later, Combs allegedly showed up at her hotel and assaulted her.
She also talked about meeting Kid Cudi in December 2011. At that time, she and Combs were not in a good place. She said Combs discovered her romance with the rapper during a Freak-Off after checking her phone. According to her, he reacted by threatening her with a wine bottle opener.
A Birthday Party with Britney Spears
Another name that surfaced in the Diddy case was Britney Spears. Cassie described a night in Las Vegas in 2007. It was her 21st birthday. Combs kissed her that night, beginning what she said was the start of their romantic relationship.

Text Messages and Hollywood Icons
Text messages between Combs and Cassie were introduced into the trial. In one message from July 2013, she compared Combs to Bruce Willis, saying he wasn’t like the actor. She mentioned how Willis had strong family values. She also referenced Eddie Murphy and his wife, Paige Butcher, saying they would take Murphy’s children on family trips.

Cassie said she felt emotionally unsupported and was preparing for heartbreaking photos of Combs with someone else. The text showed how deeply strained their relationship had become.
Chris Brown Enters the Conversation
Chris Brown’s name came up during Cassie’s second day of cross-examination. Combs’ lawyer questioned her about an incident involving Brown. She was asked if Combs had gotten jealous over her dancing with the R&B star. Cassie said she remembered the accusation but denied dancing with Brown. She also said she didn’t recall much about that specific moment.
Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Pusha T
In the final moments of Cassie’s testimony on May 16, more names were dropped in Diddy ‘s case. The defense asked if she had access to big-name musicians because of her relationship with Combs. She agreed and listed Nicki Minaj as one example. They had worked together on a track called “The Boys.”
She also mentioned a mixtape project, “RockaByeBaby,” which she had collaborated on with Lil Wayne. The defense lawyer asked if she also worked with Rick Ross and Pusha T. She confirmed that too and added she had collaborated with many artists.

While many celebrities have now been linked to the case in some way, none of them face any legal consequences. Most were mentioned in passing, either through Cassie’s memories or as examples during jury selection.
